“Please come and help us,” said the brother on the phone. He didn’t have to ask twice — he didn’t have to ask at all. I knew the Lord wanted me to go before the phone call. The Lord had been preparing me.
More and more I feel God pulling me to focus on intimate discipleship with new believers and emerging church leaders. I have been actively clearing items off my busy schedule to make time for it. Currently I have eight individuals on my list. The brother asking for help is in charge of a very rural ministry training center with nine young adult students currently enrolled. I plan on making my first trip to the training center at the end of this month. God willing, there will be many more discipleship training groups in other areas to follow.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19-20 NASB
