Divine Appointment

This post was shared by one of our workers in Eastern Europe.

Recently, we went to see an English movie in the theater, and were the only ones there aside from a young man two rows ahead of us. After the movie, we were crying a bit and I noticed the young man in front of us was weeping! God told me to go HUG him. I couldn’t ignore the command. I stood up and walked towards the young man, and he simultaneously came to me and he asked, “Can I hug you?” His tears soaked my collar as I held this eighteen-year-old and simply let him cry.

We discussed his feelings, and family history of schizophrenia, alcoholism and recent suicide. We talked about hope and God, and his gentle answer was, “After this meeting, I am starting to believe.”

Never underestimate God’s ability to provide divine moments. If God says to do something, do it. Your obedience could change a life or plant a seed of hope.

Love can happen in a theater!
