The WIM Asia Regional Conference in February was a great success! We met at a quiet resort on the beautiful island of Cebu in the Philippines. Missionaries from the sister missionary organization Southeast Asia Mission Teams (SEAMisT) founded by Richard and June Bartz also attended.
We were a small group but well represented. We gathered with missionaries from Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, as well as some from the United States. Pastor Jeff Collene from Kansas City was our guest speaker. Pastor Jeff taught on the Kingdom of God and reminded us of the words of our Lord Jesus, “… this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Mat 24:14).
We had wonderful times of worship and prayer. On one occasion, Ana received word that her dear friend in Vietnam was suffering from a painful blood clot in her leg. As Ana stood in proxy for her friend, we prayed, and it was evident that God was at work. Ana began to shake as the Holy Spirit came upon her. Soon after that we learned that her friend was healed.
During the afternoons, some went swimming while others went shopping. One afternoon we rented a boat and went snorkeling and scuba diving. It was a very relaxing time and we enjoyed being together. I wish all of you could have been there.
