April is National Volunteer Month

Did you know? The month of April is designated as National Volunteer Month, and this year, National Volunteer Week is April 15-21! While volunteering is important year-round, this time is a wonderful chance to get involved and build awareness of local volunteer opportunities. This is also a great time to thank those who give their time, talent and energy to serving, so we extend our deepest gratitude to those who have volunteered.

World Indigenous Missions has many volunteer opportunities in our office here in New Braunfels, Texas. Some of the ways volunteers can serve include:

  • Stuffing envelopes
  • Working on the computer
  • Filing
  • Mowing/landscaping
  • Building maintenance
  • Helping organize events
  • Preparing meals for events

Would you like to help out, but don’t live in the area or maybe don’t have time? Below are some simple ways to help out from anywhere.

  • Follow our social media accounts. You can like our posts and share them with your friends and family to help build awareness. Our accounts include:
  • If you shop on Amazon, you can support WIM through AmazonSmile. When you shop through AmazonSmile, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to WIM at no extra cost to you! You can shop online and help our missionaries out on the field at the same time! Instead of going to amazon.com, visit smile.amazon.com, or follow this link – http://smile.amazon.com/ch/74-2192909.
