Ron and Lisa Stewart

The Stewarts met at Christ for the Nations Institute in 1984 and married in June 1985. They initially served in Bolivia, South America, from 1987 to 1990, ministering in local churches and to the Deaf. While in the States, they served in a variety of settings, including starting home groups, ministering in churches, and serving as caregivers. Ron was also involved in teaching a group of Christian leaders in Asia via Zoom. When in Bolivia in 2016 and 2018, Ron and Lisa made a promise to their Deaf friends that they would work on learning the Bolivian sign language more effectively and teach them more about their relationship with God. It is a promise they kept. After being encouraged by another WIM missionary, the Stewarts joined WIM in 2021. They returned to Bolivia in October 2022 and are currently holding Sunday Bible studies with up to 45 Deaf adults in their home. They are seeking a larger venue to have services and are currently raising funds for this purpose.
