Michael joined WIM in 2021, after attending language school in Mexico. The Lord has called him to serve in the state of Chiapas, Mexico, the poorest state in the country with the second-largest indigenous population. He is living in the small city of Comitán, serving in various ministries including attending a local church and serving under a Mexican missionary and assisting him with a small home church. Most importantly, he is learning from all the local Mexican believers. The goal of this training time is to have the tools necessary to establish home fellowships that are locally run, self-propagating, and self-sufficient. His mission is to build home fellowships by discipling the indigenous people in their relationship with Jesus, teaching them to do the work of the ministry and go out to teach others to do the same. He strives to continue to learn from the indigenous people, their language and culture, and to serve the people humbly in the name of Jesus.
