David Gallagher

Currently, David is the host of Soul Steps, a video devotional ministry on social media. He is the author of the book Our Daddy Who Art in Heaven – God Is Closer Than You Think. 

David is a native of Portland, Oregon, but makes his home in Georgia when he is not in Kenya. He is the proud father of two beautiful daughters, Diana, 15, and Belle, 14.

David holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration from Portland State University and theology from Life Pacific University. David completed one year of graduate work in the Master of Biblical Studies program at Multnomah University.

David is the co-founder and former CEO of Open Arms International. He spent much of each year for 15 years living in Kenya and east Africa doing evangelistic and pastoral work. He also oversaw the vision for, and construction of, the Open Arms Village for orphaned and vulnerable children. 

David is a dynamic leader with a global vision for compassionate ministry and is uniquely gifted in sharing God’s love through Christ. He also has a strong apostolic ministry in encouraging believers to grow in their walk with God and in their ministry gifts.

David recently joined WIM as a self-supporting missionary because of the importance WIM places on relationships, the accountability it provides, and its commitment to financial integrity. David also believes in WIM’s global vision for indigenous church planting as a vital way of building God’s Kingdom.
