Kara Skarda
Kara and her family serve the Shan people in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The Shan people are an unreached group, with less than 1% following Jesus. Most come from Shan State, Burma, where there is a long history of war and violence.
Kara has been living in Thailand and serving the Shan people since 2011, and has had the privilege of joining WIM in 2025. She married Mong, who is a local Shan pastor, in 2013, and they are raising five children. They continue working daily to bring hope and Good News to Shan people.
