Kara Skarda
Kara serves the Shan people with her family in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The Shan people are an unreached group, with less than 1% following Jesus. Most come from Shan State, Burma, where there is a long history of war and violence.
Kara has been living in Thailand and serving Shan people since 2011, and has had the privilege of joining WIM in 2025. She married Mong, who is a local Shan pastor, in 2013, and they have four children together. They continue working daily to bring hope and Good News to Shan people.
