John and Patty Schmid

John and Patty Schmid joined WIM in July 1998 after being called by the Lord with a confirming word. They have five children and ten grandchildren. They started their ministry in Cuernavaca, Mexico, in February 2000 and served the local church with the vision of training and sending out Mexican missionaries. Their ministry was interrupted in 2006 when a health crisis caused them to return to Minnesota. Their ministry emphasis afterward was on healing, so they planted a Healing Rooms in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and planted three more of them in Mexico when they returned half-time to the field in 2009. They served both in Mexico and the USA until 2017 when they were located full-time in Minnesota. Now, they make short-term trips to Mexico. Healing of the Nations Outreach is their non-profit which covers their healing ministry. Their mission is taken from Revelation 22:2 which says, “The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
