Dereje and Hirut Zegeye/Dessalgne

Dereje and Hirut have been married for 33 years and have three children. Dereje and Hirut joined WIM in June of 2018 and moved to Ethiopia in September 2018 to serve at a village kindergarten. They have been involved in many projects since their arrival to Ethiopia. Where there was no school, there are now 234 students enrolled in kindergarten through third grade. As part of their community outreach ministry, they built a home and started a chicken farm for two needy families. They have assisted in providing medical care and lunch money to needy students. Currently, they are working to provide clean water to a small community. Their plan is to complete the project by June 2022.
