Developing Leaders, Sparking Revival in Mexico

Endless Potential

Last October, a WIM missionary went to Mexico to participate in a graduation ceremony. It was the first graduating class of a Bible school he had started two years prior. All 17 students received formal recognition with an equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Bible. The graduates are involved in missions using what they have learned. The equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree will be the next step for most of them. Three of the students shared their testimonies of what the school had meant to them. All of them said it had changed their lives. One whose life was going the wrong way is now serving the Lord and has a large mission in one of the other villages. Another, a judge, said he has a call and this was what God used to prepare him for God’s call on his life. Another said each week Jesus showed up at the classes and his life was changed.

Contagious Empowerment

A city pastor who had seen the school in the village asked the missionary to share information about the Bible school. They now have three classes with about 100 students! There are now more requests for help to start new Bible schools that will develop leadership for the growing churches in Mexico.

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness…” (Psalm 100:1-2 NIV).
